These are the kind of bites that disappear faster than you can get the next batch into the oven. The combination of smoked sausage and brie is creamy, slightly smoky and just a little bit special, without being complicated.

It’s one of those recipes you make once… and then get asked to make again. In our home, these quickly became a favourite with the kids, and honestly, the adults aren’t far behind either.

They come together quickly, taste even better, and work just as well as a snack, party food or a cozy weekend treat. Serve with a spoonful of lingonberry jam on the side for that perfect sweet and savory balance.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Cut the puff pastry into 10 x 10 cm squares and make small diagonal cuts in each corner. Slice the brie and smoked sausage.
  2. Place a slice of brie in the center of each square, then layer two slices of sausage on top, slightly overlapping. Add another slice of brie and two more slices of sausage.
  3. Fold the corners toward the center, one by one, to form a small parcel. Repeat until all pastries are assembled. Brush with egg and, if you like, place a small piece of brie on top.
  4. Bake at 225°C for about 12 minutes, until golden and crisp. Serve warm with lingonberry jam.
