Cherry tomato, mozzarella, basil is a combination that suits every party table and is mostly liked by children as well. In addition, they are quick and easy to prepare!
As a useful tip, be sure to have toothpicks handy and don’t attach the eyes to the snowmen too far in advance before serving. Over time, a little darker colour will seep around the peppercorns onto the mozzarella balls, and with longer standing, the snowmen will look like they have smokey make-up on their eyes. 🙂 Therefore, you can do all the other preparations in advance, but attach the eyes and basil leaf arms at the very last moment. You can find fun toothpicks in larger grocery stores.

  1. Cut a small lid off the top of the cherry tomatoes for the snowman's hat. Thread two mozzarella balls onto a toothpick, and then the tomato piece on top as a hat. Stick two peppercorns into the upper mozzarella ball for eyes and two into the lower one for buttons. Attach basil sprigs to the lower ball for arms. Cut a small piece from the carrot and stick it into the centre of the upper mozzarella ball for the snowman's nose.
